Motherhood

I waited months expecting you.
I had to buy clothes for you
Instead of buying them for me.
They call it motherhood.

I had to blame myself and lie
To protect you.
They call it motherhood.
What about me?

I neglected my life
Just to have you around me.
I have chosen to be a prisoner
In my own home.
At least we can play freely together.

When the judge gave the verdict,
They buried my motherhood.
